Work in room 10

In room 10 for art they have been using pastels for different shades and tones. Also in room 10 they have been writing autobiographies on themselves and their lives. Also they had to retell a story called the race. The race is about a kid who was kinda deaf and he couldn’t hear the man say GO so he always used to come last. They also have been doing silent reading after lunch and when they finish and when they finish work. For spelling they have to write out their spelling words 5 times every day.

Exciting work in room 10

Last week in room 10 they have been using prefixes in spelling. Also they have been doing special abilities such as French, Japanese, and Kapahaka. Also they have been making posters about themselves.They have been making a coat of arms on themselves. On  Fridays they have been going to dodgeball but if they have been naughty or haven’t finished their work they are not allowed to go. Also they have been making collages about themselves by cutting out pictures and lettering that has to do with themselves.

Fun work in room 10

In room 10 they have been writing out their spelling words and putting them into sentences 5 times. After lunch they have been writing on what they have been doing after school. Also on friday they have been doing spelling testing. Also they have been writing out the meanings for words.

Work in room 10

In room 10 they have been using Moari and African design for their title pages also they have been making Samoan patterns. Also in handwriting they have been learning to use slope, link, shape, size and spacing and using dictionary skills. In P.E Mrs Chambers has been taking room 10 out for rounders and its been fun! Also in P.E they have been doing fitness 3 or 4 times a week. In reading they have been writing and drawing a summary comic on a book called Katie’s birthday.

Room 10′s AWESOME learning!

In room 10, the kids have been doing a lot of cool art. They have been learning to mix water colours to make different colours. They used these skills to paint some cool pictures.

They have been learning about the rugby world cup like everyone. They made posters to advertise it.

For sport they have been doing tournament practise. They have been doing netball, rippa rugby, soccer and hockey. Some people are in a hockey extension group. They have training after school or Mondays.

For maths in room 10, they have been doing times, division, subtraction and addition with big numbers.

For spelling they have just been testing each other.

The awesome room 10′s working!!

Room 10′s pupils have been studying the countries thast are in the rugby world cup. Doing all sorts of work on it like: Lerning about the history making posters…

Since Kapiti school is having their cross country room 10 and other classes have been training hard and doing thir best for a whole twelve minute training run.

Room 10 is crazy about art their teacher Mrs Gajadhar loves showing them new things.They done some craft buses out of different materials.

Room 10′s brilliant learning!

In room 10, and the rest of the year 5′s and 6′s, they have been going to swimming. They leave school at 10:20 and come back at 12:30.

They have been going to life education. They have been learning about body parts and what they do.

For maths, they have been doing geometry.

Some of the kids in room 10 went to interschools. The kids got the placings of 33rd, 21st, 41st and 67th. They had a great time. They found the running very challenging.

For art, they have been learning to do portraits. They have also been sketching flowers and houses.

Room 10 must be having a blast!
